tests/context.py no longer re-exports pandas_ta_classic after the
dead-code sweep, causing ImportError at collection time for 14 test
modules; now import directly.
Full-series std > 0 does not protect against a constant aligned slice
when s1 and s2 have different RangeIndex lengths. Guard now checks std
on [:min(len(s1), len(s2))]. Also prevents try/except from swallowing
AssertionError — only the df_error_analysis call is guarded.
Agents lacked sufficient context to work without repeated clarification.
- Rewrite AGENTS.md (61 → 300 lines): granular context table, working
principles, formatting gates, CI pipeline, indicator dev checklist,
validation commands, repo tree, and docs summary
- Add CLAUDE.md with @AGENTS.md include for Claude Code
- Fix copilot-instructions.md: replace @AGENTS.md (Copilot ignores @)
with plain-text instruction to read AGENTS.md
- pyproject.toml: add line-length=150 to [tool.black] and [tool.ruff];
remove dead [tool.ruff.format] section (ruff format disabled in CI)
- test_property_based.py: replace filterwarnings suppression with
assume(std > 0) — excludes degenerate inputs at source
- Removed the line `# -*- coding: utf-8 -*-` from various volatility and volume indicator files to clean up the codebase.
- Updated type hints in `tests/assertions.py` for consistency with PEP 484.
- Simplified dictionary unpacking in `_indicators` function within `generate_fixtures.py` for better readability.
- Cleaned up import statements across multiple test files to adhere to style guidelines.
- Introduced `test_native_indicators.py` to validate purely-native indicators with additional assertions for non-None results, valid rows, and finite last values.
- Implemented checks for known mathematical constraints on certain indicators.
- Excluded tests for known-broken indicators (`pmax` and `vfi`) with appropriate comments.
- Created `test_regression.py` to perform snapshot regression tests on indicators, comparing computed values against stored golden snapshots at specific indices.
- Enhanced test coverage for various indicators across multiple categories including Overlap, Momentum, Volatility, Trend, Volume, Statistics, Cycles, Performance, and Candles.
