On CI's x86_64 runner the fixed wrapper overhead (~0.3 ms) makes speedup ~0.53, well below the 0.80 floor that held on Apple Silicon. The floor is now 0.40 — enough to catch genuine catastrophic regressions while tolerating cross-arch wrapper overhead.
